Animal Services is jointly operated by the cities of Olympia, Lacey, Tumwater and unincorporated Thurston County. This arrangement allows the jurisdictions to share resources and provide the highest quality of service to the community and its pets.

JASCOM (Joint Animal Services Commission) meets each month to establish goals, discuss various animal-related issues and act on matters as necessary. If you would like to attend a meeting, please call or EMAIL Animal Services’ Executive Director, Sarah Hock, to verify that the meeting date, time and location are correct. Meetings will be held on the First Monday of every month at 5:30 p.m. at Lacey City Hall, Executive Boardroom, 420 College St SE, Lacey, WA, unless otherwise posted.
To comply with Governor Inslee’s Proclamation 20-28, the Joint Animal Services meeting will be conducted remotely, not in-person. However, you may view the meeting by visiting a link, or call in and listen via telephone.

The next JASCOM meeting is scheduled for Monday, July 5, 2021, at 5:30 p.m. Since JASCOM will observe the 4th of July holiday on July 5th, a public notice will be published at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled meeting to notify the public whether the meeting will be cancelled or rescheduled.
